Blu Balances ("we," "us," or "our") provides bookkeeping services to small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, and describes how we handle automated communications and recorded phone calls. By providing your contact information or engaging with us, you agree to the practices described below.
We do not sell or rent your personal or financial information. We share it only with service providers needed to deliver our services (such as QuickBooks Online) or as required by law.
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages from Blu Balances, which may be sent using automated technology. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing any service. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance. After you opt out, we may send a single confirmation message acknowledging your request.
We may send you commercial and transactional emails, including automated email sequences related to our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-out requests promptly in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act. You may also opt out by contacting us directly. Transactional emails (such as invoices or service-related notices) may continue after opting out of marketing messages.
Phone calls with Blu Balances may be monitored or recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping purposes. Where required by law, you will be notified at the start of a call, and continuing the call constitutes your consent to be recorded. If you do not wish to be recorded, please let us know and we will accommodate your request or discontinue the call.
Recording and consent laws vary by state. Some states require all parties to consent to recording. We follow applicable federal and state requirements for any call we record.
We use QuickBooks Online to manage client financial records; data stored there is subject to Intuit's privacy policy. We also use third-party providers to send emails and text messages and to facilitate calls. These providers process data only to deliver our communications and are not authorized to use it for their own purposes.
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Financial data is handled with confidentiality consistent with professional bookkeeping standards.
We retain client financial records for a minimum of seven (7) years in accordance with standard accounting and tax record-keeping practices, unless a longer period is required by law. Call recordings and communication logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. You may opt out of texts (reply STOP), emails (use the unsubscribe link), and call recording (notify us during the call). Deletion requests remain subject to legal retention requirements.
